⚠️ Regarding MIPS devices with ≤ 8MB Flash storage
Ever-increasing build sizes have, in some cases, required removing features present in earlier versions from later releases. This is done to ensure the image will continue to fit into the available Flash RAM on the older devices.

Feature descriptions

1) USB in an image filename means USB port drivers are present on certain MIPS-based device images.
), 3) Tinc is an automated partial/full mesh VPN technology.
), 5) Tor, The Onion Routing client, provides anonymized web browsing by abstracting packet traffic through distant nodes.
), 7) A Captive Portal is web-based WiFi authentication for guests on WiFi networks.
), 9) Cut-Through Forwarding lets network devices implement faster packet paths.
), 11) Allows FreshTomato to perform HTTPS client operations
), 13) Transmission is an on-device client for BitTorrent peer-to-peer file sharing that can be managed from FreshTomato's web-based interface.
), 15) Samba is an open source version of SMB (Windows File Sharing), providing remote filesystem access/browsing.
), 17) Nginx is an advanced, highly-customizable web server.
), 19) Adblock is a DNS-based ad blocking filter.
), 21) CIFS lets FreshTomato mount remote filesystems for their own local storage via SMB, a deprecated version of Windows File Sharing.
), 23) The Journaling Flash File System is a permanent storage volume that lets users save files in the empty part of flash storage.
), 25) MiniDLNA is an open source version of Digital Living Network Appliance. It lets users stream multimedia between LAN devices and remotely control playback.
), 27) Quality of Service (QoS) classifies network traffic into different priority levels and shapes traffic to prioritize them.
), 29) CAKE is an advanced queue management for varied network conditions/traffic types. It extends QoS with lower latency costs.
), 31) Bandwidth Limiter is a simplified version of QoS that limits the amount of the throughput individual network devices can consume.
), 33) UPS monitoring, via the apcupsd daemon, lets the router gracefully shut down when a UPS powering it reaches a critical power threshold.
), 35) DNSCrypt is a replacement for the standard DNS stub server that can encrypt, authenticate and anonymize traffic exchanged with upstream DNS servers.
), 37) Stubby is a replacement for FreshTomato's default DNS stub server, that also can secure its traffic with upstream DNS servers using DoT or DoH.
), 39) DNSSEC authenticates DNS responses via digital signatures and public key cryptography to ensure they originated with the domain's registered owner to prevent several known DNS hacks.
), 41) Link Aggregation Control Protocol allows a router to bond traffic from multiple ISP connections (modems) and split it across them for more throughput.
