Here you can enable minidlna, an internal media server that lets you share media content. For example, you can share media files from USB storage connected to the router towards DLNA clients.
Start Now/Stop Now: clicking this starts/stops the minidlna server, whichever is the opposite of its current state.
Open status page in new tab: in a new browser tab, this displays media file sharing status.
Enable on Start: enables/disables the DLNA service at boot time.
LAN0 - LAN3: bridges checked here will have the minidlna service advertised on them.
Port: the port where the service is reachable. Minidlna publishes this in active network advertisements.
Database Location: specifies where, on local media, to store the database. This is built automatically after a scan.
Rescan on the next run: media are scanned periodically, but you can force a scan by selecting this option/save.
TiVo Support: adhere to the TiVo standards if you use a TiVo client.
Strictly adhere to DLNA standards: this may increase compatibility with old client devices that have issues.
Media Directories: defines where the actual media is. To exclude a subdirectory from scans, place an empty file with name:
.minidlnaignore
in the filesystem.
For example:
cd /mnt/usb/media/private
touch .minidlnaignore
