OpenDNS offers an alternative your ISP's/organization's own DNS servers. Business and consumer-grade services are available for any budget.
Using OpenDNS servers to perform your DNS resolution can have many benefits, depending on the plan you choose:
You need to create an account on the OpenDNS website if you want Content Filtering, through the Home Basic plan.
If you don't want Content Filtering, or are using the FamilyShield plan, you do not have to create an account.

You can setup OpenDNS on FreshTomato in just a few steps.
First, configure the settings:
Your FreshTomato router should now be using OpenDNS for DNS resolution. You can test this using the nslookup command,
or by using OpenDNS' test page: OpenDNS Test Page
The features available to you will depend on which plan you signed up for.
