WiFi QR Codes

Starting in release 2021.6, this menu makes it easy to produce and print QR codes to identify your WiFi network to client devices. Modern devices can connect to WiFi by simply pointing the camera at a QR code. The QR code contains the information needed to establish the connection, including SSID and password. This can be useful in venues like Internet cafes, hostels/hotels, or even at house parties. Basically, it's useful anywhere that sharing of WiFi credentials has to be easy.

In this menu, tabs represent the number of physical/virtual SSIDs enabled on your device. Make sure to select the correct tab/SSID for your context (for example, the guest SSID).

Show WiFi Logo: This makes the WiFi logon display at the top, which can be helpful when printing. (Default: On). The logo makes it clear what the QR code is for.

Show WiFi Password: Enabling this will display the WiFi password on the page in clear text. This can be helpful if the client device doesn't support WiFi QR codes. (Default: Off).

Print: Clicking this prints the relevant part of the QR page. This is useful for physically posting the information at a venue or location.

WiFi QR Codes Notes

You can edit the text under the QR code inline. Just click on it and type what you wish. This can be helpful, for example, if you need to translate the instructions to a different language.

Any editing of the message is not saved. It will not survive a menu refresh. However, it will printable as long as you remain on this menu.
