WiFi QR Codes

Since release 2021.6, this menu makes it easy to produce and print QR codes to identify your WiFi network to client devices.

Modern devices can connect to WiFi by simply pointing their camera at a QR code. The QR code contains the information needed to establish a connection, including SSID and password. This can be useful in venues like Internet cafes, hostels/hotels, or even at house parties. Basically, it's useful anywhere that sharing of WiFi credentials has to be easy.

Tabs represent the number of physical/virtual SSIDs enabled on your device. Select the correct tab/SSID for your context (for example, the guest SSID).

Show WiFi Logo: makes the WiFi logo display at the top.

This can be helpful when printing. (Default: On). The logo clarifies what the QR code is for.

Show WiFi Password: displays the WiFi password in plain text.

This is helpful if the client device supports WiFi QR codes. (Default: Off).

Print: clicking this prints the relevant part of the QR page.

You can then physically post the information at a venue or location.

WiFi QR Codes Notes

You can edit the text under the QR code inline. Just click on it and type what you like. For example, this can be helpful if you need to translate the instructions to a different language.

Any edits to the message are not saved. It won't survive a menu refresh. However, it will be printable as long as you remain on the menu.
