This function lets you run a scan to detect nearby WiFi networks visible to your router. The results show SSID name, signal strength, channel, and other network information. This information can help you decide which channels might be optimal for your own WiFi network.

NOTE: While this tool is fully functional, you may find more useful and presentable data using other tools (such as some of the various WiFi scanner apps available for smartphones). Using an external, portable device instead provides several advantages: You can easily move around to help locate where various signals are coming from, scanning/refreshing is often faster, and scanning won't interrupt your own WiFi signal, allowing you to compare coverage and signal strengths.
